Career Overlap is a static site. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What the site does not do
It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tag manager, pixel or fingerprinting. It embeds nothing from a third party: the typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font CDN, precisely so that loading a page does not disclose your address to anyone else.
Search
The occupation search runs entirely in your browser. Two files listing occupation titles are downloaded to your device and matched there. What you type is never transmitted, never logged, and never leaves the page.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes request data including IP address in order to deliver pages and defend against abuse. That processing rests on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in operating a functioning website. Cloudflare acts as processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
To confirm before launch. Check your Cloudflare log-retention settings and state the actual retention period here, and add your controller contact details, which must match the Impressum.
Outbound links
Learning suggestions link to external course providers. Following one takes you to that provider, whose own privacy terms then apply. Career Overlap earns nothing from these links and passes no information with them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Since this site holds no personal data beyond host request logs, most of these have nothing to act on here.
